4 paws for ability gives service dog to many different types of disability people in need. Depending on your disability is how you receive the dog. Some dogs are train to specialize in one thing to help others but other dogs can do more like for example if you have seizures and you are hard at hearing they can give you a dog that alerts you in both ways. 4 Paws for Ability have hearing ear dogs, autism assistance dogs, mobility assistance dogs, seizure assistance dogs, diabetic alert dogs, fetal alcohol spectrum/ drug exposure assistance dogs, guide dogs, food allergen detection and alert dogs, multipurpose assistance dogs, and dogs for veterans. They are the only ones who don’t have a minimum age requirement. They never turn down a child who doesn't fit into one of the traditional service dog categories. They place almost every type of service dog with a person in need. a little bit about the dog are hearing ear dogs are to become your ears or you and her things you can't. Autism dogs help the children connect with their environment. 4 Paws for ability was the first agency in the United Staes to begin placing skilled autism assistance dogs and the first known to lace these assistance dogs with tracking skills.
This article found at 4pawsforability.org under service will be a good use in the documentary because it gives you information on what all the service dogs do for each group of service dogs. They also provide feed back on how it helped a child in need in each group so you get a good idea on how it helps children in need. Even though it started in 1998 which is not that far back I question why the traditional organizations didn't think about these different groups ? did they not want to help others like that ? did they not care about others to help them in many ways?
